St. John Vianney and St. Padre Pio used to spend several hours per day hearing confessions. People would come from all over to have their confessions heard by them, seeking both God’s forgiveness and their advice.

In confession we confess our sins, strive to convert our hearts, and turn again to the Lord.

The saints knew this, which is why they went frequently (St. Teresa of Calcutta went every other day!), and spoke about it every chance they got.

And we should too.
