Reflect: Have you ever felt God was calling you to something, but felt resistant or hesitant or maybe you refused God entirely? Maybe you felt you did not have what it takes? We are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses who have experienced the same thing; ordinary men and women God has called to the
extraordinary because God promised to be with them, as he told Moses, “I will be with you.”

At Christmas, we are reminded of “Emmanuel,” “God is with us.” When we realize God is with us, something changes. We are able to do even what seems impossible. God is with us, He is our helper, and He has a plan and purpose for each of our lives to lead us out of our own personal Egypt into the ultimate Promised Land.

What is the next step God is calling you to take today?
