Rosary on the Seawall

The following is an announcement from Diane Costantino that we are happy to pass along and encourage all to attend:
Calling All Catholics!
Come join in a massive Rosary service going on throughout the United Stated on Tuesday, December 12 (The Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe) at 3PM. We are praying for an end to abortion and to protect our borders from any evil.
We are meeting at Narragansett Beach and forming a human chain to pray the rosary from the seawall to the Narragansett Towers (along Ocean Road).
For those who are coming from Providence who would like to carpool, we will be meeting at the Cathedral noontime Mass and leaving for Narragansett around 1:00. Because it is such short notice, we do not have buses available.
I’m sure you are all familiar with the Battle of Lepanto where Mary defeated thousands of enemy forces by a few devoted warriors praying the Rosary. It is known as the battle that saved the Christian West from defeat at the hands of the Ottoman Turks. This was such an incredible feat that In thanksgiving for the victory at Lepanto on the first Sunday of October 1571, Pope St. Pius V ordered that a commemoration of the Rosary should be made on that day. This day is now called The Feast of the Holy Rosary celebrated on October 7th in honor of that day.

Servants of Christ for Life was formed in 1973 to save unborn children from the human rights violation of abortion. We pray for, defend, save, and die with unborn children by joining them in their sufferings on the sidewalk. In 1984 we formed two partner organizations: 1) Mother of Life Center and 2) Little Flower Home. MLC is a crisis pregnancy center that offers free ultrasounds, pregnancy tests, parenting classes, and baby products to mothers in crisis pregnancies. LFH offers free housing to mothers in crisis pregnancies.
